特异性 Phospho-EGFR (Y1068) Rabbit Recombinant mAb detects endogenous levels of phosphorylated EGFR (Y1068).
背景 In the human epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor, three major autophosphorylation sites (Tyr 1068, 1148, and 1173), and two minor sites (Tyr 992 and 1086) have been identified. These sites are clustered in the last 194 amino acids in the C-terminal tail of the receptor. In addition to being docking sites for Src homology-2 domain–containing proteins involved in signal transduction, the EGF receptor C-terminal tail is also important in receptor internalization, down-regulation, and endocytosis. Phosphorylation of Y1045 and either Y1068 or Y1086 is necessary and sufficient for full EGFR ubiquitination. Y1068 Phosphorylation could recruit Grb2 and induce activation of MAP kinase. Tyr 1068 may be one of the principal phosphorylation and Grb2-binding sites induced by Jak2 in response to growth hormone.
