特异性 KMT4/Dot1L Rabbit Recombinant mAb detects endogenous level of total KMT4/Dot1L.
背景 The H3K79 methyltransferase, DOT1L, is involved in a number of key processes ranging from gene expression to DNA-damage response and cell cycle progression. Dot1/DOT1L catalyzes the sequential mono-, di-, and tri-methylation of H3K79. It is an epigenetic regulator of G1/S progression. At the cellular level, Dot1L deficiency leads to alterations in constitutive heterochromatin, accompanied by telomere elongation, aneuploidy, and proliferation defects. DOT1L has also been implicated in the development of mixed lineage leukemia (MLL)-rearranged leukemia, where mistargeting of DOT1L causes aberrant H3K79 methylation at homeobox genes. Actually, DOT1L controls the development of diseases including leukemia, cardiac dysfunction, and kidney injury, as well as normal cellular processes.
