体外研究 Liproxstatin-1能够在低纳摩尔范围内抑制铁死亡和Gpx4−/−细胞的增殖（IC50，22 nM）。在Gpx4−/−细胞中，liproxstatin-1（50 nM）可完全阻断脂质过氧化作用 。liproxstatin-1（200 nM）可以浓度依赖性克服FINs,如BSO （10 µM）、erastin（1 µM）和RSL3（0.5 µM）诱发的细胞死亡，但不能克服staurosporine（0.2 µM）和 H2O2（200 µM）诱发的细胞死亡。
体内研究 与溶剂对照组相比，Liproxstatin-1可显著地延长生存期，抑制管状细胞中铁死亡，减轻缺血/再灌注诱发的肝损伤中的组织损伤。
