特异性 Phospho-Smad2 (S255) Rabbit Recombinant mAb detects endogenous levels of phosphorylated Smad2 (S255).
背景 In the TGF-β pathway, Smad2 and Smad3 are receptor-regulated effector proteins (R-Smads), which are phosphorylated by the activated TβRI, resulting in R-Smad nuclear accumulation. Mitogens and hyperactive Ras induce ERK-mediated linker phosphorylation of Smad2 at Ser245/250/255/Thr220 and Smad3 at Ser204/208/Thr179. pSmad2L (Ser255) serves as STAT3 co-activator in combination with p300, a co-activator of various transcription factors including both Smads and STAT3, whereas unphosphorylated Smad3C serves as the STAT3 co-repressor in combination with PIAS3, a negative regulator of STAT3-induced transcription.
