| 背景 | EEA1 is an early endosomal Rab5 effector protein that has been implicated in the docking of incoming endocytic vesicles before fusion with early endosomes. Unlike many other endosomal proteins, EEA1 has not been detected on other membrane compartments and appears to be one of the most specific early endosomal markers known to date. EEA1 labels a subdomain of the early endosome and does not associate with the recycling endosome. EEA1 is the only Rab5 effector that could confer minimal fusion activity in a reconstituted endosomal fusion assay and plays a docking/tethering role before SNARE-dependent fusion. |
